Update motherboard BIOS

I have a HP computer and it will not go into bios. I need to get in contact with someone who can help me.

The motherboard is Pegatron Corporation Benicia 1.01
Driver BIOS update vs. 5.43

Will someone please help me.

Off-The-Shelf retail computers often have a locked BIOS which does not allow you to change much, if anything at all. Why are you attempting to update the BIOS?

I have a bad visus that will not let me install any .exe file.
I need to wipe, format, repartition hard drive and then relead fresh copy of Windows 10 Pro.

I have the software to do that which will boot up from the disc. Will that work.

Do you think that wiping and reformatting the hard drive will delete the virus?
As for as the locked in Bios. I have been able to get to it to change it before but now it will not work. Wonder if the virus has anything to do with it.

What may have happened is that the virus has disabled the function key that you normally press to get into BIOS. This prevents you from booting into BIOS and changing the boot priority that would allow you to boot from a CD/DVD or USB.

This MIGHT have happened. I do not know.

Try and boot from the disc you have and see if that works. Otherwise, I have no other ideas.
