Update the bios?

Before i upgrade to windows 10 from 7, do i need to update the BIOS? I have heard a lot of things can go wrong like the motherboard can get bricked.

Currently my bios version is 0805 (06/01/2014). The latest version is 2306.

Motherboard: Asus B85M-E
CPU: i5-4590
GPU: Asus Radeon R9 270 2GB

The OS and BIOS usually are not related to one another. You should be fine upgrading as-is.

if ti was me I would get a hard drive and a copy of 10 before I overwrite a good solid ''working'' os like 7 if things don't go as planed you maybe finding your self out 2 os's

if you have a spare partion or a usb flash drive just back up your OS on it using Macrium Reflect FREE Edition http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/macrium_reflect_free_edition.html then you will be good to go but I have not had many problems and windows 10 is the way to go

I have made a full system image (using the windows 7 tool) and put it on a external drive.
Wouldn't that be enough if i ever want to revert back?

And also made a system repair disk just incase.

whats wrong with 7 ?? will you say dx12 ?? how much dx12 is out there ? maybe in 5 years it maybey mainstream ?

did you look at any articals -reviews - and all on 10 ?? do you see guys use it and quickly revert back to there old os ?? do you see like at newegg how well its satisfaction rated [low like 35%]

if you wanted to try it out just get a hard drive and a copy and install it fresh and leave your old 7 drive alone and untouched where all you have to do is unhook the 10 drive and hook up the 7 drive -no mess no fuss no risk ..

do as you want and feel is right for you

thing is it seem Microsoft may not want you to in the end ?? your call ..

thing is 77 for me is running with out issue does all I ask everyday all day ,why would I want to louse that up with overwriting it with a piece of work like 10 and end up 100% out and having to pay another 130 bucks for a copy of 7 to get back what I lost ?? how silly , no how stupid !
