Question Updated from a 2700X to a 5900X

So I'm in the process of updating my CPU from a 2700X to a 5900X. My Mobo is a MSI X470 Gaming Plus and I've already downloaded and installed the proper BIOS: 7B79vAL. I've got a MSI 3060 GPU and 850W PSU with Corsair Vengeance 32gb of ram. Once I install the new CPU power comes on just fine (fans spin etc) but nothing happens, just black screens and no input from the keyboard/mouse. Thanks for your help

Did you clear the CMOS after you'd verified that the BIOS was successfully flashed?

850W is the advertised wattage of the unit. What is the make and model of the PSU? How old is the unit?

I haven't cleared the CMOS yet, will do that once I finish this post. Just downloaded the newer BIOS version (thank you for that). As for the PSU its: Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 850W 80+ Gold SLI/ CrossFire Ready Ultra Quiet 140mm Hydraulic Bearing Smart Zero Fan Full Modular Power Supply 10 Year Warranty PS-TPD-0850FNFAGU-1 and I got it the beginning of 2023

Bought it directly from AMD. Let me verify the BIOS fully installed.

I would carefully inspect the new CPU for missing or bent pins next.

After you installed the new CPU, how long did you wait for the system to start? Try again, but give a couple minutes for the system to retrain itself to the new config.

So took your advise and just let it run (sorry for the delay had to work today). Well I got home from work put in the 5900x and just let it run about 5-10 minutes I start receiving signal on my monitors and it starts to recognize the new CPU. Thank you for all your help!
