At this point in time, it makes sense to just go with skylake. The 390, uses more power, but is a bit better than the 970, due to it having more ram, from a longevity standpoint.

Made some tweaks, to keep the price close, but this will give you a current gen CPU, without sacrificing quality elsewhere.

I second the Skylake 6500 and AMD build. I'd go with the newer Skylake and get the latest tech. Also the DDR4 memory is more future proof.

With AMD what I like is that Freesync is more readily available and cheaper than GSync. I'm skeptical about the future of GSync. I love adaptive sync monitors.
