I bought an Asus CM6830 about roughly a year ago. I decided to upgrade the graphics card which in turn needed a better power supply. After installing the graphics card and power supply it wouldn't boot up, I fixed that somehow and everything is working inside. But now the usbs do not power on devices and the monitor will not display. I've even went back and used the old graphics card and still nothing. I'm considering the mother board had a static discharge. I've undergone the troubleshooting checklist also. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems

Specs:i7-3770
Geforce GTX 620
8 gb of ram
don't know much else to list

What I upgraded to:
Geforce GTX 660
Corsair CX 750 watt power supply

You didn't "de-static" yourself and you most likely poked around with a magnetic head screwdriver. You could have also accidentally poked a capacitor or who knows what else.

All I can say is- hope that its just a bad cable contact. Open it up, remove all power cables and reinstall them, make sure everything is snapped into place. Also remove the CMOS battery to clear your settings - always a good idea after installing new hardware.
