updated to windows 10, can't detect any networking hardware

I've watched many videos on this topic but not one fixed my problem. tried resetting IP and didn't work. my surface pro 2 doesn't show any networks available even though before the update it was fine and showed all of the available networks. when I open my network from the control panel I cannot see my own device . and the main issue that comes up is it can't detect any networking hardware. how do I download drives when I can't hook up to internet. please help

You may have to get a cheap USB wifi adapter to use temporarily

You can also download drivers on another PC, and moving them on a PC, or straight onto your (Android) phone, and plugging it into the Surface.

I'm sure you've read posts like this one about obtaining Surface-specific Windows 10 drivers.

It's funny because I've had to do that multiple times in the past. Don't know why that thought didn't pop into my head yesterday.
