Updates to other Microsoft Products

Hi guys! Today I unchecked the box about receiving updates for other microsoft products and now this box is gone,doesn't pop up anymore! Is it something important or not? Should I get worried? Can I make it pop up again?

It shouldn't be a big issue. If you have Microsoft products on your system like peripherals and Office as well then yeah the updates would be a good thing to have. A lot of other folks just leave the updates options alone.

Hi Lutfij thanks for the quick reply! I don't have any peripherals but I do have Microsoft Office which I use rarely but I do need it. All I care about is the normal operation of my system. I don't want any unexpected errors or BSOD! Is there any such danger?

I read the article you posted but since I am not keen on registry modification I feel I shouldn't change anything unless you tell me that my system may produce errors while using the Microsoft Office. Is there any such danger? Should I leave as it is?
