I want to update my BIOS to the latest version. I am very confused by Msi's steps.
My model name that it says on MFlash is : e7a36au6
My motherboard name: A320M PRO-VD/S (MS-7A36)

For reference I am using: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/A320M-PRO-VD-S/support
It says on the PDF in the link above that: Download the new BIOS version that matches the current BIOS version number.

I don't see e7a36au6 there or anything similar.

I tried using a FAT32 8GB usb with ONLY the file by itself.
I tried version 7A36v2H and I extracted it and such. The USB only has the E7A36AMS.2H0 file.
So i went into bios, mflash mode and my usb was there and nothing was in it.

If everything is working as expected then no reason to update the BIOS.

A bad flash can brick your board.

Are you sure you trying the correct motherboard? It seems to me like you have a modified BIOS version, as all MSI BIOS version for AMD board end with AMS and yours end with AU6. Was that a prebuilt machine?

Well, there is something very risky that you can do. If the board is indeed standard then MSI BIOS should work just fine, you just need to force it to perform update. Now it seems the board is looking for a file with name E7A36AU6 .(version number), and the MSI BIOS file has name E7A36AMS.(version number). So if you change the file name it might get updated. However, if the board was modified (from standard MSI version) in any way that most likely will end in dead board. Personally I would not do that.
