i cant figure out how to update my bios on the gigabyte b450 pro wifi it says i have version f4 but there is a version f5 avalible can anyone show me how to update it

First of all, does f5 have a fix for a problem that is impacting you?
If not, do not try to update the bios.
A failed flash can leave your motherboard inoperative with difficulty in recovering.

If a flash is necessary, it is best to do it via a usb stick.
Load the update to a fat32 formatted usb stick.
When you access the bios on power on(del or f2 usually), look for a bios flash utility.
It will find the usb stick and you can proceed.

As a caveat, it will look like nothing is going on for minutes at a time.
Don't get antsy and stop the process prematurely.

everything seems to be fine so i guess it doesnt need to be updated. i do have some issues i just built my first pc and i feel like it is lacking in performance its a ryzen 5 2400g cpu gigabyte b450 pro wifi mobo 1 tb ssd ddr4 3200 2x8 ram and etc. it should be able to emulate games well but i cant even get ps2 games to run at full speed some im just trying to figure out some options. i tried using ryzen master to overclock and it worked well everything ran alot better but if i turn the computer off it wont turn back on unless i clear cmos

For future reference, BIOS updates fall in the "If it aint broke, Don't fix it!" catagory.

Never update the BIOS just to have the latest and greatest! You should ONLY update the BIOS to:
1. Fix an existing error. Errors corrected will be listed in the release notes for the BIOS version.

2. acquire additional functionality. I.E. provide support for a new CPU that wasn't available when the motherboard was first released.
