Question Updating BIOS

I just want to know what is better/safer way to update bios. Bios update for Windows or EZ Flash Utility?

EZ flash is safest. windows apps usually work fine, but they do have a higher failure rate in my experience. not talking like massive failure rate but out of maybe a dozen failures over many years, most were using windows app vs bios utility.
