[SOLVED] Updating drivers on a set up with 2 cards ?

This might seem a dumb question but i obviously dont know the answer , i am considering building a rig with 2 graphics cards , when the drivers need updating how would the set up know i have 2 cards and update them both ?

Solution
Are they both made by same chip maker? In other words, are they both Nvidia or AMD?

And what cards? are they similar age or one really old?

its unclear about 2 Nvidia cards - https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforc...3/windows-10-two-non-matching-graphics-cards/
seems you need sli to do it now - https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/geforce-graphics-cards/5/484912/2-gpus-in-the-same-pc/

I can't find anything for AMD.

Mixing sounds difficult as well.

I don't know how mining rigs do it. most of the cards in them aren't used for display purposes. I expect they have different software.

Solution
From what I have seen, most people who have 2 Nvidia cards used to have a lower end card just for physx but I seem to recall seeing videos showing there isn't any benefit on newer cards to using the old one and can make PC slower. I don't know to be honest as never had money or need for 2 cards.

You can't SLI 2 different cards from Nvidia - they have to be same chipset; AMD Crossfire is more lenient with regard to AMD cards - https://pcguide101.com/gpu/can-you-sli-two-different-gpus/
