I recelently moved my os disk from one pc to another, everything seems to be fine, however when I get inside device manager there are 3 yellow exclamation marks, and I have a feeling that also a lot of the other drivers are oudated, when I get inside different drivers properties some of them go back to 2005-2015. which I guess makes sense since I didn't install any driver, I hoped windows will take care of it all.

  • Should I care about any of that? (if it's not broken don't fix it)
  • If I should, What is the best way to update drivers?
- If it's manually, should I go inside my mother board website and download drivers for each component?
- If not should I use a software that can do this automatically, what software is recomended?

Getting some driver errors should be expected when transferring an OS drive between builds, often they won't run at all.

I would go to the motherboard site and download the latest drivers for your motherboard and install them starting with the chipset driver. I don't like automatic driver installer software.

If you are using a different GPU, I would also update the GPU driver to the latest available for your model from NVIDIA or AMD.

The new setup is: mother board hp 8437, cpu i7-8700K, gpu gtx1050ti, chipset z370. where exactly should I go (if you can be specfiic please)?

You're quite lucky that is all that you see.

Moving an OS drive between systems has 3 possible outcomes.
  1. It works just fine
  2. It fails completely
  3. It "works", but you're chasing issues for weeks/months.

I've personally seen all 3. #1 is the least likely to happen.
I would expect you'll see other issues soon.

I still havent resovled the issue, I went into hp website, and even installed hp assistent, the only thing it says its critcial to install was an update to the bios, I did that, and then it says eveything is ok (hp bios seems the same after update, still terrible btw), there is a list of many drivers to install for every component for my system and I don't know which to choose (hp omen 880-197).

only for the chipset there is 11 options

how do you get a HP motherboard by itself or did you swap windows into a HP?

the unknown devices might be fixed if you install Intel Management Engine Interface but helps to find the right model... I thought an INtel one would limit driver choices but after looking and finding the right model it still shows all the drivers... slaps HP

could try running this and see what it finds - https://www.intel.com.au/content/www/au/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html

This thing will not install crap into my pc? (the pc itself is as it was, nothing was changed hp omen 880-197, the only thing is that I cloned my old os disk into the ssd nvme it came with)

Ok I ran it it says:

No supported driver or software updates are available for your system.

what ever, I'm living it as it is, I'm not sure if there's a problem anyway
