updating firmware for a Probox (HF2-SU3S2)

Having issues with the probox and want to update the firmware, have never done that before. Any guidence (USB 3.0 drivers up to date)?

If you wander over to Mediasonic's web site, they don't offer firmware upgrades for that part as far as I can see. Their forum is more helpful: http://forum.mediasonic.ca/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=519 , but that's from back in 2011

which seem to indicate that USB 3.0 with this is a common and unresolved issue.

Sorry, but from what I read they do have firmware but did not say how to update it. Which was what I was asking help for.

Had this enclosure running on a Power Spec G180 with Windows 7 Home Prem then with 7 Ulitmate and had no issues with it. It was after getting the Power Spec G412 and upgrading the SSD to 500 GB that I started having trouble.

If there is firmware for it, its not posted on their website and google knows nothing of it either so you would need to contact them to get it at which point they should supply directions to update it also.

As for the usb3 issue, is it disconnecting on you? That would be a known usb3 issue with the various usb3 chips (some chips are good, some not so good) and probably not the mediasonic.

On the rear ports it keeps wanting to format the drives but on the front ports it was doing okay.

Decided to put it on an older HP computer with Windows 7 Home Premium and it works just fine. The computers are part of the same Home Group so this works for me.

Sounds like it's the drivers on your machine, then, not on the storage box. Glad you found a solution.
