updating motherboard bios on new Hard disk

hey guys

so I have a Intel DH61WW and I want to update its bios. I have a 320GB hard disk right now which I will have to remove after a few days when I get a 1TB HDD. My question is that if I update the bios now, will I have to do it again once I get the new hard disk? sorry but im new to this stuff so

Hi, I suggest not updating the BIOS. A failed updated might brick the board.

I have to..since I just bought a rx 480 4gb today and it requires my mobo bios to be updated first in order for it to run...seems like it because I read it on this forum too

Go ahead and update the bios per Intel's instructions for the mobo. Note that the bios is located in a non-volatile memory chip on the mobo. It is NOT on your HDD.
