Updating Motherboard BIOS

I am going to be getting an asrock fatal1ty am3+ motherboard for Christmas. It may not come with BIOS that support my fx 8350 that I currently own (in an asrock 970 extreme 4 atm). So, can I update my BIOS to support the fx 8350 with the chip in my socket.

Maybe not. You may need to use an older amd cpu to flash the bios first before you can run the 8350. But it won't hurt anything to try it before you flash. Some boards do come with the latest bios if they were manufactured recently and sold at a high volume retailer such as newegg.
