Hey Im getting i7 7700k tomorrow. I was checking if I needed a update there is a f20 update to support my bios but it is a beta version Im not sure if I should updated and if I dont would it effect me using my i7?

motherboard: Gigabyte Z170N-Wifi

I wouldn't. Good rule of thumb for bios, don't update unless is fixes something broken or adds new functionality. Never heard of a Beta release for BIOS but saw it on their website-weird.

So I dont need to update? Im currently on BIOS version f7. I dont know if I need to update to support the new kaby lake?

You need to verify which revision of the board you have (1.0 or 2.0). The Rev 1.0 motherboard may or may not support that processor at all (despite what the beta description states). Until that processor is listed on the CPU support list, it's better to assume it's not supported. At least you should get confirmation from Gigabyte to ensure the BETA BIOS will, in fact, make the new processor compatible.

Revision 2.0 will definitely support the new processor after the BIOS update.

The revision number appears to be printed just below the PCI-Ex16 expansion slot.
