Updating my system - Bottleneck worries

So I haven't been here in a while but last time it was such great help that here I am again.

My current system is as follows:
Windows 8.1
MSI Gaming 970 motherboard
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti
AMD FX 6300
16 gig RAM
(did I miss anything vital? Let me know!)

For the most part it still runs quite well. I have very little issues in game play. However, I was looking to update and have read a few things that have set me worrying over bottlenecking. I am looking at upgrading my video card to ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 1050 ti mini and my cpu to AMD FX 8350.

Any thoughts?

What is the power supply?

Provided that your power supply can power the 1050 Ti (some require a 6-pin PCIE power cable) you can do that.

But you would be better off upgrading to a modern motherboard,RAM and CPU.

powersupply is corsair 600w power supply 80+ bronze. I was really hoping to avoid upgrading my motherboard and just going to videocard and cpu.

You can do that. But at the same time you are poring money into an already dated system. That is my point.
