Updating OpenGL without updating graphics driver

I have a relatively old laptop that i very rarely use that has an amd card which i can no longer update drivers on for whatever reason. Due to some circumstances i have to use this laptop for a few days and i need an update on opengl to use some programs. Is it possible to update opengl without updating my graphics driver?

The card is ATI mobility Radeon HD 5470

Open GL is part of the driver set. If you can't updtae the drivers then you can't update Open GL.
