Hello Forum!
So I bough gigabyte z370p d3 and I5 9600K and I know that my mobo supports that gen with the latest bios update, but my question is, can I update it while using the i5 9600k just to get to the bios? and what will happen if I try that?

Solution
The most feasible way to do this is to deliver or send the motherboard to a PC repair shop or service and have them update the BIOS with one of their Intel 8000 series CPU's. Not everyone has an Intel 8000 series processor up their sleeves.

Of course if you are upgrading from an Intel 8000 series processor, you can do this yourself.
