Hi, im planning to upgrade to AMD within this month or next, which is ryzen 7 3800x using Asus ROG Strix X570- E Gaming and GSkill Trident Z Neo RGB 16GB (8x2) DDR4 3600Mhz. Maybe if i had the budget i'll upgrade my cpu cooler in to an AIO, which is Corsair Hydro H100i Pro RGB. and add case fans later on, probably 3 more case fan if it fits.

my current specs is:
CPU: Intel i5 7600K
Mobo: Asus ROG Strix Z270F Gaming
Gpu: GTX 1070
Memory: G.skills 16gb (8x2) ddr4 2400Mhz
PSU: corsair cx 600

Thank you for your time and effort to reply!

PSU wattage is almost irrelevant for a gaming build, especially mid-end one. Way more important is the PSU quality and performance, and this PSU isn't good. It's old group regulated Corsair CX, not a new one. Replace it.

Agree quality is very important and the old CX range are low quality and have a bad reputation. I lost count how many people how come here saying one of those old CX’s has prematurely died and in many cases it kills other components. No way would I risk new parts on that psu.

Seasonic Focus FM 550W - there's a possibility that it'll have shutdown issues with very high-transient load GPUs, like AMD Vega, perhaps smth from next generation from either brand
Seasonic Focus GX 550W - fixed revision, wattage would be enough if this is gaming build, if not :
Seasonic Focus GX 650W - ... this should be enough then
Weird to see only Seasonic being cheapest of good stuff there tho, maybe you have other stores there ?

For 5,100PHP or less, the only thing you'll get that's worth the money and investment is the Seasonic GX. To get a more varied choice, the budget would have to be stretched closer to 10,000PHP.

Seasonic GM is a revamped and bug fixed Seasonic Focus. The Seasonic GX is a revamped and bug fixed Seasonic Focus Plus. The Focus series has been discontinued as such, so any units left for sale new are older stock.

Reason why Seasonic is cheaper there is because they are based and manufactured right next door and have a global market. Other brands are based in US, Germany etc even if they are still manufactured just next door. It's a shipping, logistics thing. Seasonic has the ability to flood the market, beQuiet doesn't.

apparently im planning to upgrade my unit so i really need to tighten the budget for it or but i think i should wait for the new release of b550 it might make the board prices go down. as for my psu i thought of not changing my current one but apparently im worried that if im going to pursue the upgrade of ryzen it might fail.

Agreed. High demand and low supply = high prices (greedy people).
Wait until supply increases and demand decreases and competition for unit sales will force prices down
If you're not upgrading right now then there's no point in buying a PSU right now too, prices and availability are horrific, upgrade everything at once when you'll be ready to do so.
yeahh on point. i think i'll wait the market to stabilize again before upgrading.
