under $500 including OS.

Its not the most state-of-the-art build, but its a huge step up from your 8 year old machine

The build that ScrewySqrl made for you is most suitable for your budget. An AMD processor is what you'll need if you want decent performance as well as cost efficiency as AMD is known for its bang for its buck, even though its quality might be worse than intel. For 100 dollars, you'll get not nearly as much as you would from AMD. The issue you had previously is probably a one off thing, as many people have problem free AMD experiences, not to mention that the CPU rarely affects the graphics since you'll be running dedicated graphics.

indeed. at thsi price point in the US, you're looking at a AMD FX 6300 or an Intel i3. an i3 6100 system would leave teh 6300 eating its dust, but the i3-6100 system would push well over $500 (mobo, ram, and CPU increased push it up around $560).

I don't know any malay stores (check the foreign stores sticky at the top of the systems board.

generally, you should look to build a system around at least an Nvidia 950, with a CPU of AMD 860K (FM2+ socket), AMD 6300 (AM3+ socket), or an i3-4xxx or i3-6100. that is in roughly increasing order of speed, but also cost. 8 GB of ram, and a 500GB, 750GB or 1 TB HDD. get a decent 80+ Bronze PSU from a well known brand and you should be ok.
