What are your expectations? What do you require? Gaming?

What is the current hardware configuration and OS?

Simple answer: 2080ti is like 50% more power. Will be even better with new driver optimizations, etc.

Do you need it to play at 1080p 60HZ up to 100FPS? NO. Do you need it to play high resolution and/or 144Hz GSYNC display? YES.

My current setup is:
4770k CPU
16gb ddr3 2400mhz ram
Msi z97 gaming 5 motherboard
295x2 gpu
Windows 10 64bit
1440p 144hz monitor

I guess I'm just wondering if the 2080ti would have a nice performance boost over the 295x2 or if it's not really worth upgrading and also I just found out that some of the 2080ti are having problems right now so I may just wait tell that gets cleared up

And, as mentioned, there will be a need for additional power.

Do not forget to consider the PSU requirements. It must support all of the motherboard's components and system drives.
