Question Upgrade 970 to 2060/2070 ?

Hey, guys.

My intention is to update a 970 graphic card that is already 3 years old but I'm in a sea of doubts, I don't know if with my current PC configuration worth buying a 2070 that was my budget, about 500€ or I should go to a 2060.

I understand that the whole generation of i5 6000* was a mistake to buy it because of the actual bottleneck issues in some new games, but my intention isn't to change anything of the core and die with this PC configuration by changing only the graphic card.

Currently I play 1080p - 144hz to play games like Apex, The Witcher 3 and little more. Thanks you and sry for my bad english

A 2060 would not be held back at all, I also highly doubt a 2070 would be held back. You can upgrade with peace.

Probably I will take a Zotac 2060, quality/price are very competitive.

I would also consider a 1660ti. (doesn't hurt to look)

Also, if you have an aftermarket CPU cooler, I would also overclock it. You could probably get it to 4.3 by just changing the multiplier and nothing else.

2060 is a nice card, especially for 1080p - everything pretty much max.
Buy one with 2 fans. Worth the extra cooling and tweaking.
