Hi all,
I have an ASUS 705GM Laptop and the AC9560 wireless card has died (I think)
I have the code10 error, I have tried EVERYTHING to get it working on youtube and forums.

Rather than replacing with the same wifi card, is there anything I can upgrade with for faster wifi?

Many thanks in advance

Not sure how you think you can get faster. Pretty much you only have 2 antenna. So this means you can not run more than 2 data streams. This limits your speed to 866 on 5g and 300 on 2.4 They call this 1200.
There are some non standard data encoding methods that can get higher speed but it does no good unless your router also supports it. Your current card says it support 160mhz channels but there are almost no routers that support the methods they use so it is pretty much a worthless feature.

The only upgrade would be to go to 802.11ax...ie wifi6. Problem is that standard even though it is only 6 months old is already obsolete with wifi6e that supports the new 6ghz radio bands coming soon. So do you pay a premium for a card that you may want to replace in less than a year.

Thanks for your obnoxious reply, I apologize for not being as wise as you and coming on a forum to ask for advice....
I didn't "think" I could get faster. I simply asked if I could upgrade to anything that would be faster.
Whilst I was paying for a new card anyway, I thought it would be cost effective to upgrade.

My question was more aimed at the types of card my motherboard would be compatible with.
I see AX200 and AX201 and AX1650 etc.

Anyway judging by your reply, I think I would be better off replacing like for like, thanks for explaining the antenna issue , I didn't know about that.

Sorry just a lot of threads lately where people believe bigger number is always better, more my frustration with the manufactures for being so deceiving that the general public gets conned. I forget that I have answered this so many times but most people have not seen my hundreds of other posts like this.
