It would run better but still nowhere close to 2020 standards.

Yes you are right.
Do me a favor suggest me best of both ... i7 2600 or i7 2600k. Or Any Processor to upgrade. For my current specifications....
I have intel DH61WW motherboard, 4×2 =8 GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 ram, GTX 1050 ti 4gb and i3 2100.
Your motherboard should support up to an i7-3770K with bios version 0042. You need a Z series motherboard to overclock the 2600K, and the 2600 has the same base and boost speed as the 2600K, so get the cheaper one if those are your only options for an i7 in your region. You also need to make sure that you have bios version 0016 before you can use either i7-2600.

Do you know how to check your bios version? An easy way to check, is to download CPU-Z and look in the motherboard tab. You could also enter the bios on system boot up instead and check in system information.

Of course the i7-3770 would be better to buy, as said in the earlier post, but that depends on how much you can buy it for and if it's worth the cost over another i7 to you.

https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/boardsandkits/desktop-boards/DH61WW.pdf

You will also get a big boost in loading times and general application speed swapping to a solid state drive.

What about RAM i am using Kingston -kvr1333d3n9/4g. 4x4 =8gb. It is sufficient to handle i7 3770. Or i7 2600.

DDR3 1333 is the highest memory speed possible with an i7-2600(K) on your current Intel H61 chipset motherboard. You can use up to DDR3 1600 with an i7-3770(K) on your Intel H61 motherboard. If you are going to upgrade the ram to 2x8GB, try to get DDR3 1600 CL9 1.35-1.5volt; DDR3 1600 CL11 has nearly the same performance as 1333 CL9.

Also, make sure you check your bios version to determine if it needs to be updated before installing an i7-3770, as I stated in my previous post from June. Intel no longer has the bios updates on their download site and from what I've found, it's best not to update past bios 0116 (0120 is the last release). You will also possibly have to update the bios in stages with older version before updating to 0116.
