So, quick question.

I'm wanting to venture into the realm of 1440p gaming, and am looking at some upgrades once PC parts and prices stabilize. This is what I'm currently using. I'll be replacing my current GPU with a 3070 from EVGA. What would I have to replace if I don't want the new GPU to be throttled? And what would be recommended for a solid 1440p monitor?

AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB - DDR43000
ASUS TUF X470-Plus Gaming
EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SSC 6GB
EVGA 1000W 80+ Gold Full Modular ATX

What's your budget and what country are you located?

Here's an example of what you could do in US dollars. Give it two weeks for that cpu to be back in stock including sites such as Amazon...

You may not need to change anything. I’m running a 3700x and 3080 for 1440p gaming and am happy with it. A 2600x and 3070 should do well. Would a 5600x or 5800x give higher FPS, probably but is it enough to worry about?

Not sure why people are suggesting you switch to Intel 10400F requiring a new motherboard when you can drop in a 5600x or 5800x into your current motherboard with a BIOS update and they both outperform the 10400F. There is not point upgrading your RAM from 3000mhz to 3200mhz either.
