Hi! I have around $300 and need to upgrade my box. Right now I have a p3 533, Matrox Millenium G400 and plenty of ram. The cpu and G400 are a bit outdated for tribes 2 so I need to upgrade. My mobo can support up to a 1ghz p3. So, I was wondering if I could get some advice on which cpu/graphics card I would be best off with. Also, any tips on where to buy them online would be nice. Thanks =)

Pentium prices are falling. The PIII 1.0 ghz is available for 186 + 6.95 shipping from TCW

check out http://www.pricewatch.com/ for prices
and http://www.resellerratings.com/ for reliability of vendor

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges.

Thanks, I'll be checking both those sites tonight, and if no one else has any better suggestions, hopefully be ordering tomorrow.

Note that you have to order by phone and mention pricewatch to get the better price from TCW. They also have the video card.

If your motherboard and RAM support 133 FSB, buy a p3 800b.
