Hey guys running a water cooled i5 2500k oc and a gtx 970 12gb ram and 1tb ssd.

thought about dropping an i7 in the lga 1155 mobo but then thought I might upgrade to a newer cpu, the 2500k can still put up a good fight with most of my total war games and can at least run most games on medium settings quite comfortably, so what would you guys recommend as I’ve been out the upgrade game for a few years now? Not looking for a huge spec pc but something about 8/10 in the gaming world

thanks chaps

Yeah, it’s been a long time. I’m glad they came roaring back.

Pricing is only going to get better. Once again Micro Center is having a sale, the 3600 for $160 and the 3700x for $280. If the B550 motherboard’s launch with mainstream pricing, that’s a lot of bang for the buck!
