Hello there,

I currently have a Asus maximus hero ix, an i7 7700k and a GTX1070.
Can i get some upgrade recommendations, current compoenentsare a cryorig h7/h5 coolermaster v1300 and ddr4 32GB RAM.

i do a lot of gaming so im thinking of maybe waiting for the 30 series GeForce. and some more cores would be nice.
Im happy with red or blue.

I beleive the 7700k is about the best cpu for that socket, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

If you want to build a new pc, what's the budget and where do you live? Anything from the old build usable?

The 7700k should get around $300 on the used market too.

You're right, it is the best cpu for the socket. I was heart broken about the x370 boards.
I would be looking to replace my motherboard, cpu. My hearts set on the 3080 for now. As for budget. £400 ish. Base plus what I could get for the cpu

At those higher resolutions the cpu is less of an issue as you will be limited by the gpu first.
