I've

Ecs a780GMA (ddr2,sata,am2+) motherboard
Athlon x4 640 3.0 gHz processor
Radeon Hd4870 512 mb vga
2gb ddr2 533 mhz ram*
160 gb Ata hdd*

as you can see, my hdd and ram are very old.

i wanted to upgrade them but my motherboard doesnt sport ddr3 and sata2.

so i've decided to buy

Kingston Hyperx 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 KHX1600C9D3 Ram
ECS A880GM-M7 880G DDR3 Soket AM3 Motherboard
Western Digital Caviar GreenPower 1TB 64MB Sata2 Harddrive
(total 321 turkish lira/180 usd with taxes)

my budget is about 180 usd
are the upgrades good enough? or should i buy something else? your opinions ?

(sorry about the grammar mistakes, if there are any)

I'd suggest a smaller hdd, 500gb is plenty to be honest. Make sure it's 7200rpm and has high ratings. That's important for all hardware.

Everything looks fine and compatible, just make sure the motherboard can support 1600mhz ddr3 and not just 1333mhz

Motherboard supports 1600 mhz with overclock and harddrive is 7200 rpm. So everything looks okay.

Well i don't see the need for a 1tb hdd. I have a 1tb and like 14 games downloaded, 4,000 pics, 11,000 songs, and I have like 210gb used. You can save money getting a 500gb, and maybe get something else later on down teh road!

There isnt much price difference between 500 mb and 1 tb. Think i will go for the 1tb one.

This upgrades will probably remove the bottleneck. Is gaming performance going to increase? What do you think?

Gaming is primarily through two peices of hardware, cpu and gpu.

The HDD upgrade will increase the speed of your boot time from the off position. It will also increase other daily use features. The RAM will increasing gaming slightly but mostly what youll recieve from HDD / RAM upgrade is things like opening a program faster, opening documents or files etc way faster. The GPU and CPU dictate frames per second in games.

That being said the motherbard and ram upgrade will increase gaming probably about 15-25%.

But your overall computing experience will increase 50% i'd say
