Question [Upgrade] AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core 2.31 Ghz 4400+ <AMD Phenom II X6 1055

Helo there,

so : I wanted to upgrade my CPU from the AMD Athlon to the AMD Phenom [See in title].

I checked the Mainboard : ASRock N68S on compatibility - I found out it's compatible. [AM2+/AM3 Socket, right?]
My Powersupply is a : Rasurbo Gaminx and Power GAP565V2 with 550 W, right.

When i switched the CPUs my PC is not booting. The fans are working but the PC is not booting what so ever.
Screen remains black.

I switched back to the old CPU and its working now.

So my question is : Is my CPU defect or may it be a BIOS update thing or such ?

Look for updated BIOS

Looks like it needs P2.10 version.
