Hey,

I'm 15 and currently have a job which funds my liking of working with different computer parts, with which the problem is that I'm not sure whether I want to go with AM3+ or LGA 1150...

So far as I've read and seen both the AMD FX 8350 and the Intel i5 4690K are pretty evenly matched... I am currently using my computer mainly for gaming but have assignments involving the adobe suite coming up in the next year however I'm not wanting to fork out for an i7, (I wouldn't use it to its fullest capabilities). So what's your thoughts on the matter?

Thanks in advance!

My opinion is based on benchmarks.

But if you want to save a bunch of money, go with the FX-83xx and a good OC'able MB.
As said I already have an Fm2 build and again I already said that I'm not going with an I7 due to the fact I won't use it to its fullest capabilities, also some reason as to why you suggest Intel would be nice rather than just your opinion...

The Intel i5 4690K is $234.99 on Newegg. The FX 8350 is $149.99. Both would need an aftermarket cooler. If you're on a budget the FX 8320 is $119.99. With intel you'll get better single core speed and better gaming play. You should only get the FX 8350 if you plan to use all the cores. It depends on your budget.

I would 2nd on going with Intel parts. I have always liked amd better, but as of late, they don't have a very good upgrade path. If your worried about it costing more, which it will a little, I would start off with an i3 in the socket 1150 before I would go AMD. Hope this helps.
