Hi,

Should I upgrade, build new computer or wait?

Build new PC budget: £3000
Upgrade budget: Any

My Computer specs:

1x Asus Intel Prime X299-A 128GB DDR4 2066 Motherboard
1x 32GB (2x16GB) Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 RAM
1x EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 11GB TI Black Edition iCX GDDR5X Graphics Card
1x Crucial MX500 1TB SSD
1x Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD
1x Corsair TX-M 650W Hybrid PSU
1x Corsair H115i Pro RGB Water Cooler
1x Corsair Crystal 460X RGB PC Case

Thats isnt gigabyte's,but EVGA makes really good cards,so i would get it if it were you.And its 'only' 800$

Dont trust me on this,but i dont think NVIDIA officially announced the 3080Ti.
There was a live stream on January 12th (which i didnt watch btw) and somebody correct me if im wrong but only the 3060 has been announced,i heard nothing about 3080Ti,although there have been rummors about it.
I would just get the 3080 and call it a day if im being honest.I dont think there is going to be a significant fps increase with 3080ti thjat you should regret buying a 3080.

Well, looks like I will have to wait... As I was only planing on upgrading the GPU to the 3080 or 3090 but both are out of stock.

I'm in the queue for a 3080 FTW3 Ultra Hybrid, but I'm also on the lookout for the 3080 FE and RX 6800XT reference.
I would prefer to DIY hybrid cool it, if I can help it; Alphacool has some Eiswolf gpu AIOs coming next month.

I refuse to pay those scalper prices. If I'm going to pay those kinds of prices, I may as well get a 3090, and I already have reservations against that.

I signed up on Jan 8th, so it's going to take awhile, but it's not as bad as the other air cooled cards, since they're more popular.
Though, come April 16th(?), the price will go up for people who entered the queue before Jan 11th. If I don't get a notification to purchase before then, Imma drop out; I'd rather not pay 900USD for that.
