Upgrade card; skyrim ultra with mods

Hi,

I have a GTX 285 2GB card now. I only get 20 FPS on Skyrim with the mods I want and at lower settings than I want.

Anyone have a recommendation for a card that is not really expensive that can handle this?

If this helps:
i7 920
ASUS P6T deluxe V2
850W power supply (I really have no idea if I'm close to maxing that already)
Samsung 840 Pro SSD
CM Storm Sniper case (I'd like card to not cover a bunch of ports or whatever)

get a 4gb 680 or something. i believe (read somewhere) that the mods can eat gpu memory like its nothing

i play skyrim on a crappy laptop system that acer jammed into a desktop lol. anyway i play with over 70 mods and i've noticed that 2 things really eat FPS, decals and resolution.

That 680 is more than I want to spend for sure. I'm looking more for the $200-300 range, but $300 is pretty high too.

Yeah, I can get 40 fps with some settings lowered, but I really like the decals. Also, I have a 2560x1600 monitor and it starts looking lots worse on lower resolution (also annoys me not using the full potential...I'm already compromising at 1050)

Get hd7870/gtx 660ti (any of this in 2 Gb version.). Just make sure that you dont get 1 Gb card since mods really eat a lot. If you would have smaller monitor you could have 650ti 2Gb instead.

What about this one? Only $230 and comes with OC (which I wouldn't realistically do myself)

Thanks guys! Went with the 660 ti superclocked 3GB...runs everything on ultra with lots of mods at 2540x1600! Great advice
