Upgrade CPU/MOBO/Video Card for $500

It's been a few years since I built this budget gaming pc for my husband. Now it no longer runs as quickly or smoothly as it once did. I'm hoping to give it a little upgrade, but I start to panic that pieces won't fit or be compatible. I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions!

Approximate Purchase Date: Hoping within a month
Budget Range: $500 if possible? Will consider higher if necessary
System Usage: Primarily playing WoW (or similar) at highest graphic setting while watching videos on 2nd monitor
