I'm hoping to be able to get an upgrade some time soon, and was wondering if I should go with gpu or cpu for better overall gaming performance?

I currently have ryzen 3 2200g and an rx 470 4gb (which is actually an overclock lottery winner)

So for super budget, should I upgrade the cpu to a r5 2600 or should I upgrade the gpu to something like an rx 590 or 1660 or other budget gpu?

Also note that I am just a 1080p/60fps capped gamer, and I also have 16gb/3200 ram, so ram shouldn't be an issue.

I can play Batman Arkham Knight with a fairly consistent 60fps on max settings with some stutter, but newer and less optimized games are really starting to show my need for upgrades. Can completely forget 60fps on max settings on titles like Control, Borderlands 3, not to mention big hitters like Red Dead 2 which I have not even gotten yet
