Upgrade CPU or GPU?

I have an AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 220 Processor and a GeForce GT 610 Graphics Card. I want to run games like Counterstrike, and Garrys Mod. I can only afford to upgrade one. Which should I upgrade?

Processor, however this will also result in a motherboard upgrade as well. Your GPU should be fine, asboth games arent very demanding when it comes to graphics, however proccessing power is a large part of G-mod if you want to have alot of mods.

Hmm... Not really... since AM3 cpus are outdated... There's some 50ish dollar motherboards that support the Haswell batch of i5 CPUs. You can get a 4460 if you have a budget of 300... Or if you want to stick with AMD, you can upgrade to a AM3+ mobo and buy a fx 6300 both for under 200 dollars. Just some suggestions if you decide that you are okay with upgrading your motherboard.
