[SOLVED] Upgrade CPU or GPU

I currently have an i3 6100 and a MSI GTX 1050, and I'm wondering what should I upgrade, thoughts?

Good question. You really need both CPU and GPU. I would probably go with a GPU upgrade first if it were me. Then decide what to do with the CPU.

You need to upgrade both, also if you planning to upgrade your GPU to 1060 then the CPU will be fine but you want to go above that then you need to upgrade CPU also.

I'd sell both of those to get more money then upgrade both

Assuming you are gaming at 1080p, you should first upgrade your GPU to something like a gtx1070, then your CPU.
If you do upgrade the GPU, chances are your CPU will bottleneck the new video card in some games, so you should swap that out too, as soon as you can.
