Upgrade CPU or RAM?

I currently have an AMD FX-4300 and I run it about 4.0ghz. As for ram I have 8gb of Corsair Vengeance ram, at 1600mhz

My question is should I upgrade my CPU or RAM? I mostly play CS:GO and surf the web/watch videos

Your RAM is fine, I'd look at CPUs.

Definitely CPU, the RAM is good enough for any gaming build. Check out FX-8320, or switch to Intel and go for 15-4690k (assuming you want to overclock, otherwise i5-4460)

I concur. If your machine is feeling a little sluggish, spend 50 bucks and get a boot SSD if you don't have one. Will make the biggest impact. Assuming you don't have one.

The only worthy upgrade is an FX-8300 series or Intel i5/i7 CPU.
