Upgrade Dell XPS 410 to quad core or build new system

Right now I have a Dell XPS 410 running a C2D E6600 (2.4 Ghz) overclocked to 2.8 Ghz and a slightly overclocked GeForce 8600 GTS. It's alright for running older games like Bioshock, Prototype, etc but it's not good enough for most newer games. I'm thinking of upgrading the CPU to the highest the mobo supports, which is a C2Q Q6600, and the video video card to a GTX 660 Ti with 3 gigs vram. The core 2 quad is still $150 though so idk if I should get that or just build a new system with a $220 i5-3570K.

build a new system with a 3570k as it will last you longer and the performance is greater the i5 will destroy anything you throw at it.
