I know this sounds crazy but I'm ready to upgrade my system to either a AMD Ryzen 5 or an Intel 5 system and want to use my GTX 680 for now but will upgrade in a year or so.

I currently have an AMD FX 4100 with a recently acquired NVIDIA GTX 680. I only play the Assassins Creed series and currently just started Black Flag.

I hope to reuse my 650w Power Supply, 2 300 GB HDs and 250 GB SSD. Probably need to purchase new Windows 10 since I currently have Windows 7 loaded.

I am looking to buy a new MB, CPU, Case, RAM and monitor (total under $700). What say you all?

Rumor is they will also launch new gpus this year as well that will compete with a 2070/1080. Supposedly price will be about 250-300 for the 3080. They supposedly will have a 3060 that will be in the neighborhood of an RX 570 for around 129.99 according to videos I saw on YouTube. I'm interested to see if those are true rumors.

If there is $50 left over then I will switch to a 2 Terabyte drive. I'm not sure if I want to wait for the newer processors that will be more expensive. I was hoping to put a build together over my Christmas break though it depends on if I can focus in on what I should get.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind when looking for a new GPU!
