Upgrade for AMD Athlon X4 860K

Hello,

I was wondering what a decent inexpensive upgrade for the Athlon X4 860K is. I have no preference between Intel or AMD. I will be gaming for the majority.

Any help is appreciated.

If you are on a budget, the Pentium G4560 is the best upgrade path for the 860K. It's the best budget gaming CPU right now. (Until the Ryzen 3s come out.)

If you can afford more, a core i5 7500 would be a good CPU. Or Ryzen R5 1500
