Upgrade for an Nvidia GT230

Hi all,

I was just wondering what a suitable upgrade for my current GPU would be for my HP pavilion (specs Here)

Ideally i would like to stick with Nvidia (due to the drivers and such), I also think that i will probably need a new PSU (if someone could give suggestions for this that would be great). My budget is £250 for the whole lot.

On a side note, would it be worth buying a large cooling fan and custom fit it (i.e. cut a hole in the side and bolt on) as I think my system is prone to over heating?

Just realised that i forgot to mention that i use my PC for gaming and CAD software. The games i play includes the assassins creed games, mass effect games, various racing games and a few online games

Thanks, looks good. Quick question though how would i hard wire the fan to my PSU or motherboard as I don't think there are any spare fan ports on my mother board?

well if you dont know what you're doing it would be better to use something like this

you'd plug in the fan to the connector in the middle and the big molex to a molex from the psu. The 3rd connector only has ground and sense wires in it which can be left unplugged (or plugged into a 3 pin connector on the mobo or w/e to get rpm readings but if you can do that then just plug the fan in there in the first place, dont know why they thought it would be needed on something like this...)
