I'm planning on upgrading my mobo for my gaming rig. I have a few ideas in mind but I want to make sure that the mobo that I get will be compatible with everything that I already have so I don't have to go and buy additional components as well. I especially worry about the RAM, if it will work with a new motherboard. I'm up for suggestions!
I was looking at the MSI ATX DDR3 2133 Motherboard 970 GAMING, I'm just not sure if it's what I want or not.
The motherboard needs 2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 slots, USB 3.0 headers and enough room to install a NZXT Kraken X31. Also I would like to start getting into overclocking so a mobo that can help me with that would be great.
I currently have the:
ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition
Crucial Ballistix Tactical 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
MSI Radeon R9 390 8GB Video Card
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Corsair CX750 Builder Series ATX 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Power Supply
Thank you so much!
