I'm unsure wheather to wait for the 3000 series prices to come down to retail or to just upgrade now. I wouldn't want to upgrade just the cpu and have it carry the gpu.
I'll be playing most titles at max/high settings, CSGO solid 300+fps, ESO solid 144+fps and Battlefield 2042 to run smoothly at high/medium settings.
I'm running an 144hz monitor and wouldn't really be neccessary to get 144 fps in every game just high stable fps.
I've found a cpu and mobo to go with it, let me know what u guys think, It's my second time going for an AMD cpu and this one is quite a big upgrade...

CPU:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08164V...trd-gb-1890708255581197300-21&geniuslink=true

MOBO:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B083HZ7...pcg-gb-1264724601494156300-21&geniuslink=true

and my current pc setup (built in 2016):
Case:.......................Corsair Carbide 400c
Motherboard:.....AsRock Z170 Gaming K4
CPU:........................i5-6600k Skylake 3.5GHz
CPU cooler:..........be quiet! Dark rock3 pro
Graphics card:.....MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GAMING X
RAM:.......................Corsair Vengance 16GB DDR4
Power supply:.....EVGA 650w platinum
HDD:.......................WD 1TB (WD10EZEX-00BN540)
SDD:........................Samsung M.2 SATA 256GB (MZHPV256HDGL-00000)

Should I upgrade the GPU too? If so, any suggestions? Can I run an NVIDIA GPU with an AMD board? How will this affect performance? Will the mobo fit my current case?

Solution
You could save yourself quite some money by getting an Intel build like this for instance,

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product...10850k-36-ghz-10-core-processor-bx8070110850k
or
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product...-11700k-36-ghz-8-core-processor-bx8070811700k

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product...-atx-lga1200-motherboard-mpg-z590-gaming-plus
motherboard choice is just one i think will be good but can be changed. There are cheaper and more expensive options.

the money saved could go to a better gpu. One review,
https://www.anandtech.com/show/16341/intel-core-i9-10850k-review-the-real-intel-flagship/11
this also shows that you would be cheaper...

Not much, besides size one M.2 socket less on the M-ATX "ELITE" and on the ATX "PRO" two less usb connectors on the back i/o. Can't be sure, but VRM looks similar on the pictures, then again if they used the same components for the two is something i don't know and of little importance when using a 11400(f).
Oh the ATX "Pro" has onboard wifi, but that is imo not a reason to pick a certain motherboard

Looks good. The only changes I'd make is the cpu cooler and RAM. That cooler works fine with the 10th gen 10400F but the 11 gen 11400F runs hotter.

Something such as this.

https://pricespy.co.uk/computers-ac...olers/arctic-freezer-34-esports-duo--p5042287

As far as memory speed goes ... 3200mhz is the sweet spot for Intel 10/11 gen cpu's. Unlike Ryzen cpu's, you gain little to nothing with 3600mhz.

https://www.ebuyer.com/1265314-king...-x-8gb-3200mhz-ddr4-ram-black-kf432c16bbk2-16
Kingston FURY Beast 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL16 £55.98

Ahh I c, tyvm! I've swapped both. A Question, is it worth spending double the price for up to 7,000 MB/s instead of 3470MB/s?
WD_BLACK SN850 2TB NVMe Gaming SSD with Heatsink up to 7000 MB/s | gen 4 | £429.98

WD_BLACK SN750 2TB High-Performance NVMe with Heatsink up to 3470 MB/s | gen 3 | £219.99
You'd never notice the difference .. that and the gen 4's tend to run hotter and when those SSD's get hot they slow down hence the reason you'll rarely see a gen 4 SSD recommended on here.

Since the 2TB M.2 is for storage of games primarely would i save something on it ,
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product...tb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-wds200t2b0c

a review here at Tom's.

If wanting to upgrade inn the future to a more powerfull gpu like a RTX 1080 (TI) might the psu you chose be fine with the lower power cpu, but myself would want to have a little more just in case.
Some options,
the 750watts are cheaper as well which saved money might help with gpu prices, same goes for that cheaper M.2 drive.

But it's up to you, parts look good to me as well in your list.
