Upgrade for current gaming? Or build new

Hi. I built my first computer a little under three years ago.

I am thinking of passing it along to my 15 year old son for gaming to save the cost of the $900. Dell laptop he wishes to buy.

Mobo: Asus Z87-PRO LGA 1150
Chipset: Intel i5-4670k Haswell3.4 GHz
GPU: Asus GeForce GTX660 2 GB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 gb) DDR3 SDRAM 1866
HD: Corsair Neutron 120 GB SSD
HD: WD Black 1 TB 7200 rpm
PSU: PC Power and Cooling Series 600 Watt 80+ Bronze
Case: Silverstone FT045-W Silver (huge, no problems adding anything)
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

I spent around $1500. (Newegg) on this build back in Oct. 2015

How does my rig rate for current gaming and can it be reasonably upgraded? Add a 2nd graphics card? etc. etc.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Solution
A bigger SSD, better PSU, and a new GPU, would get you back in the game. CPU is still decent, with some overclocking. Never seen a K series that wouldn't do 4.0ghz, with just a multiplier bump to 40, and decent cooling.

Thanks much
