Upgrade for GeForce GTX 460 for gaming

I have a Intel core I5 2500K CPU with 8 GB RAM (4 generic, 4 crucial ballistix) anda 650w PSU.

What I am wondering is what I should upgrade my Geforce gtx 460 graphics card to in order to play games like rome 2 total war, metro last light or other high end games on high settings? I don't want to spend a tremendous amount, just something that will allow me to play games of these types with decent settings.

Gonna grab one myself, maybe catch a Boxing Day deal or something...

Than a GTX 760? You're dreaming...
Personally, you couldn't pay me to run a Radeon vidcard.
I've used ATI stuff since the 1980s (they got their start right here in Toronto you know) but not since my HD4870 software was giving me ulcers a coupla years ago. No more.
nVidia is just better stuff. The nVidia experience is consistently wonderful, from PhysX to Adaptive Vsync, including excellent and superior software.
GTX 760 is even Tommy's pick at the price point, having similar performance as HD7950, not 7850...
But those Radeons have all gone extinct anyway.

He though 7850 is 40% faster than gtx 460 dude , not than a gtx 760
I am looking for a upgrade too and dont know what to grab , a 7870 , r9 270x or a 660? . A gtx 760 is too expensive for me .
