Build Advice Upgrade for Video Card Advice, Ryzen 3600x

Hi there,
two years ago i build this PC like one week before component "crysis", still the GPU i had ordered then got stolen (really) by the courier and after those days the prices skyrocketed.

So i stayed with an honorable RTX 2070 (non super).

I play with a good 1440p monitor and with price drop & new GPU at the horizon i would like to pick a better GPU to enhance my qhd gaming.

This is the actual system

Case DEEP COOL MATREXX 50 ADD-RGB 4F, 4 fan A-RGB1

PSU ATX 650w itek Taurus bs650W 80plus bronze active

Cpu AMD Ryzen 5 3600x

Dissipator Be Quiet! Pure Rock Slim

MB B450 Gaming Plus Max

16GB (2x8) Ram Crucial Ballistix 2K8G32C16 GB 3200 MHz, DDR4

GeForce RTX 2070 8gb

(and something like 4 hdd/ssd)

My idea is to pick a 3080 (non ti).

I play stuff like Cyberpunk or other single player games, i dont need 165 fps but i like to play them with at least a good stable fps (60?) and high/ultra graphic settings

I would like to know if i have to upgrade the PSU to 750W, and if i need to change the case too (for the cooling). I know Ryzen 3600X could bottleneck a bit the Video Card but playing in 1440p i should be fine for now and maybe upgrade with something else in the future

I also hear for suggestions in general on this system,

Might compare the rx 6800xt. At least in the USA the AMD cards are a better price to performance imo.

I honestly like Ray Tracing & DLSS possibility, my last experience with AMD card didn't went well 🙁

You’ll want a better PSU regardless. Never even heard of an Itek and the bronze doesn’t inspire confidence. AMD has ray tracing and FSR/RSR tech that works just fine. NVIDIA has mindshare due to their marketing.

Very good GPU, very good PSU and a CPU upgrade(bios update needed first)

I don't know market conditions in Italy, so can only suggest based on pricing I am familiar with.

The 3080 became VERY attractive in price lately. I think that, a 5xxx CPU, and a proper PSU would be a fine upgrade to that system.
