Hi,
I only use my comp for Oculus rift and I have a fairly large VR library. Since the RTX cards have come out I've been itching to upgrade my 1060 6gb. I'm just looking at this like a stepping stone to a completely new rig maybe later this year or next year. My question is: should I even bother? I know the biggest advantage with something like a 1080 or above would be the ability to jack up super sampling, but what I don't know is how much better that makes the VR games run and look. Any insight would be appreciated. One card in particular that seems like a good deal right now is a powercolor Vega 64 for sale right now on neweggs eBay store for $369.99. Should I get that?
For reference, the rest of my comp is:
Haswell i7 4790k
8gb ddr3 PC 12800 (dual channel)
650 watt Corsair modular PS
I am bidding on another 8gb of ram also ATM
Thanks guys, please help me stop the party in my head!
