Currently I have 3 24" 1080p monitors, one for PS4 and then the other two are hooked up to a laptop.

Soon I'm going to be getting a PC for playing games and general use. I'm wondering whats your opinion, is it worth upgrading from 24" to 27"?

Keep in mind that i will be staying at 1080p, I've heard its only worth it if I'm upgrading to 1440p, but the PC i am planing on getting may not be able to max out the games i'll be playing and run at 60fps.

Another option i could do is have a 27 inch monitor inbetween two 24" monitors.

What do you think i should do?

Going to be getting an i7-6700 with a GTX 1060 soon. I'm thinking of upgrading just the primary monitor that i will use for gaming to a 27" or a 29" Ultrawide, then ill have that inbetween two 24" monitors

Its fine man. I just want to know your opinion on if its worth upgrading from 24" to 27". But I'm thinking now of upgrading the primary monitor to a 29" Ultra wide. Thanks anyway

I said above, I would only consider upgrading your primary monitor that you use for gaming, as three monitors essentially serves the same purpose as an ultrawide regardless.
Even so, I wouldn't consider upgrading to an ultrawide in a lower price range due to the reduced quality of the panels.
Please, give me a budget! :)
I want to do a comb over with your build, just to make sure you are getting the best value possible.

Some old samsung laptop... Only using the hard drive from the laptop for the new PC

You won't be able to transfer the OS to a new PC unfortunately, it will be an OEM install, which is essentially a one off installation which only works with the motherboard it was installed on.
Additionally it is probably 32 bit windows anyway.
No worries! I'll work something out. :p

So do you think i should upgrade the main monitor and put it in between two of the 24" ones i have currently?

Yep, sounds like a plan! :)
I've put in a GTX 1070 and a 1080p 144hz monitor, so performance between the three should be great. :p
Also you didn't put a hard drive in the original build, so that needs to be accounted for.
The i7 shouldn't give many performance gains over something like an i5 6500 unless you are overclocking using the k variant, so i've swapped it out in order to fit a better GPU.

Thanks man, I'll keep this in mind. Although I'm not sure about a 144Hz monitor, i doubt ill be hitting near that in most games

Trust me, it will.
You are only powering two desktop 1080p displays, it is not like your rig will be playing three versions of the game at once! :)
At most this will result in a 5-ish fps decrease, but nothing major at all.
A 144hz 1080p monitor will see PLENTY of use, trust me.
I used a 120Hz 1080p monitor with my GTX 680 for years, and it did wonders. To put it into perspective, that card is about 30% worse than a 960.
